QUILT RETREAT AT THE SAMPLER
|

We’re having a
QUILT RETREAT! March 19 - 21 (Thursday 9am to Sunday 4pm) We’re going to have some of our own March Madness with a Sampler “Quilt-In” retreat. Sew on your own, with friends, and/or take classes from The Sampler staff. We will have an on-site room with good lighting and lots of space to sew. You’ll also have indoor access to the shop to pick up any supplies you need or may have forgotten to bring along. The base price includes lunch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, snacks and all of the fun, games, surprises, and camaraderie that will be part of the weekend. Hotel rooms, dinner theatre tickets and classes are extra. Base price: $90 Add 2 nights at Country Suites next door, (Friday & Sat. nights, double occupancy, breakfast included) (Package price $200.00) Dinner theatre, Saturday evening (Footloose): add $66 Classes: Quilt on the Frame: 4 hours on the quilting frame to quilt your own quilt using our Bernina 820 with all the assistance you need: $50 (does not include batting or backing or thread). Offered 2 a day from 9-1 or 2-6pm Applique in the Hoop: Learn proper placement and hooping techniques for machine embroidery applique. (Embroidery Module required) Friday night - $20 6pm - 9pm Instructor - Sandy Elfstrom Mystery Quilt Saturday - 10-4pm Class fee - $35 Instructor - Cathy Stiele |

Sunday March 7, 12-1pm <"A PASSION FOR PIECING" Her new book just out! CLASS “Summer Sunshine” (from new book) Sunday, March 7, 9-4pm Learn from internationally known and Award-winning quilt designer, Claudia Clark Myers as she guides you through the paper-piecing techniques that are needed for the Fan block and Palm Leaf setting triangles she developed to make this stunning table runner. She calls her technique a Magic Three-pin Method of sewing curves. The last part of the class will be an imagination and brainstorming session about using the blocks you just made, in other settings—-changing values, colors and adding other blocks, to make your own designs. Packets of foundation papers will be available for purchase, or you can make your own, from the book. Class fee - $90 This is sure to be a fabulous day learning from this top designer!
