The quilt in our logo showing the pastel Rowan stripes is a Kaffe Fassett design called "Sail Away". It was featured in Patchwork and Quilting Book 3 by Westminster. The quilt in the upper right corner is titled "Suzani Quilt" and was made by Polly North, one of my talented staff members. The pattern is found in the book, Passionate Patchwork by Kaffe Fassett. Normally only available at national quilt shows, we are proud to offer you Cherry wood Hand-dyeds, the finest quality hand-dyed fabrics sold in packets grouped by color. Kaffe Fasset Fabrics  We offer you quilting fabrics you may not see in your local quilt shop. Late in the 1990s Kaffe Fassett, well known for his needlepoint designs created a unique line of fabric, hand-woven in India from hand-dyed threads (see right). Stripes and plaids, in the hands of Kaffe Fassett, became sophisticated trend setters adding visual texture to contemporary quilts. Kaffe Fassett, an American who has lived in England for decades, is part of an explosion of interest in fabrics from around the globe. We buy every Kaffe Fassett fabric in each new line because we know quilters love the unusual character offered by Kaffe Fassett fabrics, whether florals, prints or stripes. African Fabrics, Japanese Fabrics, Bali Batiks Japanese fabrics, African fabrics, and Bali Batiks bring an international flavor to contemporary quilts. Early in the 1990s quilters discovered these fabrics in their travels and requested their local shops to bring in the sophisticated designs of the Japanese fabrics and the luxurious colors of the hand painted Bali Batiks. Quilters embraced the new global fabrics with enthusiasm. A surge of interest in African fabrics has developed among adventuresome quilters.
